- It is my pleasure to recommend Bart Christner for the Photography/Video and Digital Media faculty position being applied for. I am the Chair of the Honors College and an Associate Professor at Daytona State College. Bart has been a colleague at Daytona State College since August 2006 when we were both hired on as faculty. Bart’s responsibilities as a faculty member have included teaching over thirty distinct courses (often times teaching an overload schedule each semester as well as teaching overseas in the Dominican Republic and Ireland), taking photos for the Daytona State College Foundation at such events as the Daytona 500 and Rolex 24, creating training videos for Daytona State’s Faculty Innovation Center, and collaborating with other members of Daytona State in such projects as (but not limited to): designing a book cover, updating the Photography Department’s website, helping with the Advanced Technology Center’s High School Yearbook, and founding a student soccer club.
- Unfortunately, some business decisions were made and Bart’s position had to be eliminated.
- Bart is a very cooperative and a dedicated employee. His strengths are most apparent in his teaching ability in numerous subject matters, his team player and leader qualities, and his reliability and commitment to projects.
