Pete Papura
Teacher / Music Director / Artist,
Waldorf School District, MD
"Twenty years specializing in instrumental music, harmonic singing, and photography, I've taught music. I recruit, conduct, and lead middle school orchestral performances. Infusing choir, band and instrumental methods, I employ singing and fingering, conducting, and marching as the instruction method, presenting cross-curriculum concerts linking literature, art, music. Passionate about audio and visual subjects, I enjoy Tibetan throat singing and digital photography on hikes in my native Adirondack Mountains. I first met Barton James in Plainfield, Vermont, where we earned terminal graduate degrees. We shared similar interests, each owning remote cabins, appreciation for the arts, and especially photography. Both have traveled from the West Coast, be it Alaska or California, Florida, from New York or Pennsylvania. Our cameras always capture."
